Welcome to Znak. By accessing or using our data labeling platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

Beta Notice: Znak is currently in beta. The service is provided "as is" and may contain bugs or undergo significant changes. These terms may be updated as our service evolves.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Znak, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Znak is a data labeling platform that connects businesses ("Clients") who need data labeled with individuals ("Annotators") who perform labeling tasks in exchange for points and rewards.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Znak
  • One person may not maintain multiple accounts

4. For Annotators

Your Responsibilities

  • Complete tasks honestly and to the best of your ability
  • Do not use automated tools or scripts to complete tasks
  • Do not share task content with others or copy/distribute data
  • Do not create multiple accounts to manipulate rewards

Points and Rewards

  • Points are earned based on task completion and accuracy
  • Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred
  • We reserve the right to modify point values and reward offerings
  • Fraudulent activity will result in forfeiture of points and account termination

5. For Clients

Your Data

  • You retain ownership of all data you upload to Znak
  • You grant us a license to process your data for labeling purposes
  • You represent that you have the right to use and share the data you upload
  • You are responsible for ensuring your data does not contain illegal content

Labeled Results

  • You own the labeled results produced from your data
  • We may use anonymized, aggregate data to improve our algorithms
  • Labels are provided by human annotators and may contain errors

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

7. Intellectual Property

The Znak platform, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-submitted data), is owned by Znak and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform without permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We do not guarantee that labels will be 100% accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that it will meet your specific requirements. You use Znak at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZNAK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

This includes, without limitation, any damages arising from errors in labeled data, failures of machine learning models trained on labeled data, or business decisions made based on labeled results.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Znak harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Your continued use of Znak after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
